MOTTEP Minority Organ and Tissue Education Program
The mission of MOTTEP is to reduce the rate and number of ethnic minority Americans needing organ and tissue transplants through disease prevention and education. Information about organ and tissue donation is available.
MOTTEP, Minority Organ and Tissue Transplant Education Program, is a national program, the first of its kind to include a two-fold strategy in addressing the problems minorities face when searching for transplants.
The program focuses on raising awareness of disease prevention and the behaviors that lead to the need for transplantation. Since the need for viable organs is high, the program also assists people in understanding organ and tissue donation.
